Tommy de silva
Tommy de Silva started making music on GarageBand on his laptop in high school circa 2014. By college he had moved on to using Logic and creating beats he found himself enjoying on a serious level. He studied Electronic Music, primarily in theory, at UC Santa Cruz and completed the Recording Arts Program at Cuesta College.
In the summer of 2020, Tommy discovered his old friend Gehrig wrote raps and Gehrig discovered Tommy was still making beats so it seemed like a natural fit. Throughout that summer and fall of 2020 Dope E would also join the guys to help create the silly music the Green Room is still giving the people today. The boys would sit in Tommy's deeply green-walled bedroom with a microphone, his laptop, Dope E's speakers and that set of drums covered by a comforter that would be used as the booth. Eventually Tommy began working at Saucepot Studios in San Luis Obispo which led to the boys meeting Wordsauce and recording out of the studio, which is there primary location for making music these days.
Since his early years Tommy has been gifted with music, whether it was drums, saxophone or even being able to play some songs on the piano despite never having lessons. Tommy's growth over the years has led to him being one of the prominent beat makers from the 805. He's a laidback dude who truly loves music and is at his happiest when he's crafting with the homies.
Friends, this is Tommy!
